Since you are reformatting your hard drive, this might be a good time to switch to an SSD. While you're copying things, don't forget about the possible screenshots under Documents, and your keybind and UI setups under AppData. I don't recall if this creates a new SWTOR shortcut on your desktop, but in any case you can right-click on Launcher.exe and select "Send To > Desktop" to make one. This will re-link SWTOR back into Windows and create the Documents and AppData folders, etc. This can avoid some permissions issues.īut in any case, after you copy the files back to your re-formatted or new drive, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the swtor folder and run Launcher.exe from within that folder. For example, mine is installed on my D: drive in a folder called "Games". One hint btw - SWTOR does not need to be installed in the default "Program Files" folder.
